Misty Jensen, the Team Development Specialist for the Alaska branch of the American Field Service (AFS), was joined by Sitka cluster coordinator Krisanne Rice to discuss international exchange opportunities (www.afsusa.org) for Sitka students. Sitka families have hosted more than 61 international students over the past 25 years, and a handful of Sitkans have also gone abroad with AFS during high school. Jensen talk about the five AFS students in Sitka this year and several full-ride scholarships available for Sitka students to go abroad.
