Matt Wilson: Jazz as "folk music in the purest sense"

SITKA, ALASKA Drummer Matt Wilson grew up in a strong jazz tradition, but he says “there is so much music to explore under that umbrella.” His quartet, Arts & Crafts, is headlining the Sitka JazzFest this week (Friday and Saturday, February 4 & 5, at 6:30 PM in the Sitka Performing Arts Center). He appeared on the Morning Interview with KCAW's Robert Woolsey.
