Billy goat #18 heads for high ground above Blue Lake after being tranquilized and collared by biologists with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game. Due to increased hunting pressure in drainages near Sitka, and a hard cap on the harvest of nannies, the department has closed by Emergency Order all goat hunting between Sitka and Necker Bay, effective Thursday, September 29, 2011.
