Herring opening at 2:15 p.m. today

This map shows the approximate location of today's fishery. These are NOT the official boundaries established by ADF&G.

The Alaska Department of Fish & Game has announced the season’s third herring opening. It will take place at 2:15 p.m. inside Krestof Sound and lower Salisbury Sound. It will not be visible from the road system. KCAW will update with news on today’s catch once it becomes available.
