Sally Helm, a Sitka Service Fellow with the Island Institute, describes Story Lab, a new literary program for kids ages 7-19. There are four parts to the program: Afterschool, with weekly sessions; Saturday workshops; In-school, where Helm visits classrooms; and a publishing component. Story Lab is happening now.
