Zeke Blackwell joined us in the studio to talk about the Young Performer’s Theater’s production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, which debuts this weekend. The 19-member cast includes students from Blatchley Middle School and a handful of 5th graders from Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary School. Blackwell talked about the accomplishments of his cast, who memorized a condensed version of the original text, and the importance of encountering Shakespeare at a young age.
The Sitka Fine Arts Camp’s Young Performer’s Theater will debut The Merry Wives of Windsor on Friday, April 17 at 7pm and Saturday, April 18 at 5pm. Tickets are $10 for adults/$5 for students and senior citizens. Call 907-747-3085.
