Doug Osborne, the Director of Health Promotion at Sitka Community Hospital, was joined by Tess Giant to share their campaign for National Bike-to-Work week. Sitkans who bike to work next week (05-11-15 to 05-15-15) can enter a raffle at Yellow Jersey Cycle Shop for a $100 gift certificate.
Tess Giant said the best trade she ever made was her car for a pair of socks. After she moved to Sitka, she began commuting to work by bike. Giant and Osborne shared the benefits of bike commuting, including health and cost savings, and safety tips.
