The unofficial results for Sitka’s municipal election are in. Matthew Hunter is Sitka’s mayor-elect. Kevin Knox and Aaron Bean are the top vote-getters for two seats on the Sitka Assembly. And Jennifer McNichol was elected to a three-year-term on the Sitka School Board. Proposition 1 failed, by a margin of 66 to 33.

Here are the voting results:

Matthew Hunter – 1025 votes
Mary Magnuson – 641 votes
Benjamin Miyasato – 358 votes
Write-Ins – 17

ASSEMBLY
Alexander Allison – 641 votes
Aaron Swanson – 682 votes
Evy Kinnear – 571 votes
Kevin Knox – 989 votes
Aaron Bean – 816 votes
Write-Ins – 17

SCHOOL BOARD
Jennifer McNichol – 1321 votes
Ed Gray – 650 votes
Write-Ins – 5 votes
