With the final week of the Sitka Summer Music Festival coming to a close, cellist Jia Kim and pianist Navah Perlman talk about their concerts tonight and tomorrow at Harrigan Centennial Hall at 7:30 pm. They also discuss their friendship and the beauty of Sitka and its people.
Perlman has been to Sitka a few times, and is longtime friends with Zuill Bailey. This year, she recommended that Kim, her friend and fellow musician from New York, be invited to play in the festival. Kim gladly accepted the offer and is enjoying her first time in Sitka. They are both highly accomplished musicians and are excited to share their craft with such a welcoming city.
