The Sitka Local Foods Network is hosting two more Farmers Markets this summer: September 2nd and 9th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m at ANB Hall. On stage, photographers will lead a community photo project. Produce will also be available at the Running of the Boots on Saturday, September 23rd.

Market Manager Nina Vizcarrondo was joined by vendor Geoffrey Goudeau. The Coast Guard cook talks about turning his passion for sourdough into a family business, “Goudeau’s Good-Doughs,” and the abundance of bakeries he encountered while backpacking across Europe. “I wanted to see the world having hard crusted bread, so here I am making my own,” Goudeau said.
