Sitka Imagination Library and the Sitka Emblem Club are hosting a pirate-themed event, “All Hands on Deck,” at the Elks Lodge on Sunday, June 3rd, from 1:00-3:00pm. Children from birth to age five are invited for story time, carnival games and prizes, snacks, face-painting, and more. Parents can sign up their children for the Sitka Imagination Library at the event.

Sitka Imagination Library is an early childhood literacy program, affiliated with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Once a month, enrolled infants and toddlers receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail, regardless of family income.

Chris Washko, Sitka Imagination Library Chair, was joined by Elizabeth Sutton, President of the Emblem Club, and Jill and Jacob Kisaka, a program graduate, to talk about the event.
