Another season of performances starts this weekend for the Young Performers Theater at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. Their first show, directed by Zeke Blackwell, will be an interpretation of the E.B. White classic “Charlotte’s Web” from Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21.

Beatrice Perez-Petersen and Ada Parker are long-time members of the Young Performers Theater. They spoke about their work preparing for the play and the message of friendship embedded in the classic tale of a spider and a pig that audiences will reflect on and take home.

The Young Performers are also producing “Once Upon a Mattress,” a musical re-telling of the Princess and the Pea, in March as well as one act shows May 3 through 5.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students and are available online at fineartscamp.org For more information call 747-3085.
