City of Sitka Parks and Recreation and Youth Advocates of Sitka are hosting a Lights On Afterschool event on October 14, from 4-6 p.m. at the Keet Gooshi Heen gym. The nationwide event celebrates afterschool programs and their vital role in supporting children, families, and communities. The night will have booths featuring afterschool activities, an open gym, and showcases from local groups.
