Running of the Boots is back! Cosley Bruno and Kolby Sirowich from Sitka Conservation Society invite the community to put on rain gear and Halloween costumes for a race around the seawalk. The run will raise funds for Sheet’ká Splash Mountain Camp, a summer camp that promotes water safety and outdoor survival skills for middle and high schoolers. The event is this Saturday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 4 p.m. and will feature a bake sale and costume contest. Listen to the conversation here:
