More than twenty volunteers joined NPS trail crews from Skagway and Sitka to build the park's new "River View" trail over three days last weekend (Nov 11-13, 2011). The trail runs between the park's footbridge and Sawmill Creek Road on land acquired from the former Sheldon Jackson College.

Payback! Lady Braves take out 2010 rivals in volleyball rematch

The Mt. Edgecumbe Lady Braves powered their way to the state 3A volleyball championship over the weekend. Edgecumbe defeated Grace Christian in 3 straight games at the Menard Sports Center in Wasilla on Saturday (11-15-11) to take the title, a mirror image of last year’s heart-breaking loss.
