Drivers on Halibut Point Road should be prepared for more detours tomorrow (Tuesday 6-10-14), because of road work.
Starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Halibut Point Road will be closed to outbound traffic from the roundabout to Kashevaroff Street. Drivers will be routed along Lake Street to Edgecumbe Drive, instead. The detour will be in effect until Wednesday morning, according to ASRC McGraw project superintendent Mike Ashton.
And starting Wednesday night (6-11-14), drivers should expect night-time detours between the roundabout and Seamart. Road crews will be grinding and re-paving Halibut Point Road, and outbound traffic will be re-routed along Lake Street and Edgecumbe Drive between about 6 PM and 7 AM. The detours will be in effect at night for about seven to ten days, depending on weather, Ashton said.
When detours are in place, drivers will only be able to access businesses and homes along the affected stretch of HPR from the inbound lane.
