Patrick Williams of Sitka Community Hospital’s Injury Prevention Program discusses June as Alcohol Awareness Month and the health impacts of teen drinking. According to the 2014 County Health Rankings, Sitka is six percentage points above the state average for excessive drinking. Williams wants to “increase awareness then focus on ways to fix it.”
