Sally Helm, the Story Lab Coordinator with the Island Institute, came into the studio to talk about their upcoming summer session, “Story and Voice.” The session will be led by Brett Dillingham, a Juneau-based storyteller and educator, from June 1, 2015 to June 5, 2015, with a culminating performance on June 6, 2015.
Helm talked about Dillingham’s approach to “performance literacy” and her own experience telling a story in front of a live audience.
Students aged 7-19 will learn to craft and present stories based on their experiences and interest. Cost is $125 and financial aid is available. Sign up by contacting Sally at email@example.com or 747-3794.
