On Monday, December 12th, KCAW reporter Emily Kwong hosted a live call-in show with City Administrator Mark Gorman and Utility Director Bryan Bertacchi. The pair fielded questions on city finances, electric rates, and shared thoughts on Sitka’s energy challenges and opportunities. In the mix were questions from listeners about bond payments on the Blue Lake Dam, converting to a heat pump, and future collaboration between SEARHC’s Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital and Sitka Community Hospital.

If you have questions you want answered – or answered in greater detail – from city officials, let us know. E-mail the Raven Radio news department at news@kcaw.org.
