Sitkans have been participating in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count for 42 years. Bird watchers of all abilities are encouraged to gather tonight (6 p.m. Fri Dec 30, Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center) to discuss our common species, and choose routes. Counting will take place sunup to sundown on Sunday, January 1. With organizers Victoria Vosburg and Jen Cedarleaf.
