As part of the Sitka Seafood Festival, the Sitka Maritime Heritage Society is hosting a “wet and salty” scavenger hunt at the Japonski Island Boathouse on Friday, August 19 from 12 to 4 p.m.
President Jenya Anichenko and board member Mike Littman talk about collecting maritime treasures, for both kids and adults, and ongoing efforts to restore the boathouse to an active repair facility and educational center.
