The Sitka Assembly will review several proposals for the management of Sitka Community Hospital. The Assembly meets in special session tomorrow night (06-05-18).

Five parties have submitted proposals for managing Sitka’s local hospital. An evaluation committee wants to advance two to the next stage: SEARHC and Quorum Health Resources, based in Brentwood, Tennessee.

During the special meeting, city Administrator Keith Brady will guide the Assembly through the committee’s recommendations. While the proposals have not been made public, the scores have (SitkaCommHospRFP). The committee gave SEARHC an overall average score of 3.46 out of five. They gave Quorum a 2.34.

The other three proposals were submitted by Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, RCCH HealthCare Partners in Tennessee, and Sitka Jet Center LLC, the business of Rob Petrie who also owns the Sitka Hotel. The committee is not recommending those advance to the next stage of evaluation.

The special meeting to approve committee’s recommendation will be at 6 p.m.in Harrigan Centennial Hall. Raven Radio will stream the meeting live over Facebook.
