As hiring freeze continues, assembly members review vacant jobs

An assembly subcommittee will meet on Friday evening (6-7-19) to begin pouring over a list of vacant city positions. Committee chair Steven Eisenbeisz and members Valorie Nelson and Richard Wein will then make recommendations to the assembly as to whether or not those positions should be filled.

Hospital transition delayed until August

Sitka Community Hospital employees won’t be moving over to SEARHC on July 1 as originally planned. SEARHC and city officials announced today (Monday 6-3-19) that the transition date has been pushed back to August 1.

Assembly forges on with FY2020 budget
