Fishing vessel runs aground, leaks oil into Redoubt Bay

The Coast Guard received a call Wednesday (10/26/16) evening that the 41-foot fishing vessel Sandra L hit bottom in a tidal area near the mouth of Redoubt Bay.

Alaska Air flight grounded after e-cig batteries ingnite

Passengers on an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Anchorage on Sunday (10-30-16) were delayed over 5 hours after a passenger’s backpack started burning. Batteries for an e-cigarette are the likely culprit.
