Repeated vandalism in historic Sitka cemetery

In Sitka, a 200-year old cemetery was severely vandalized by an unknown party this weekend. This is the third time the Russian Orthodox Cemetery was targeted in the past two months. In this most recent incident, vandals knocked over 25 headstones.

Naa Kahídi needs new roof

The Sheet'ká Ḵwáan Naa Kahídi is overdue for an upgrade. At Wednesday’s (10-21-15) STA meeting, general manager Lawrence SpottedBird shared plans to apply for funding from a $600,000 to replace the yellow cedar roof with a synthetic polymer.
