Candidates for Sitka’s municipal election met during a two-hour forum on Monday night (09-17-18) at Harrigan Centennial Hall to answer citizens’ questions. There, the five candidates for Assembly and three candidates for Sitka Mayor traded views on hot button topics: infrastructure, rising cost of living, balancing the city’s budget, healthcare and negotiations with the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, climate change, and more.
